Listening to the album reminded me that I was hoping to have a cat show next year at the Renaissance festivals I perform at.  I’ve never done a cat show at faires.  But I have so many cat loving fans on the circuit.  It just hit me that I really need to put together a show.  My plan is to debut something at Sherwood Forest Faire in February.  Make sure you sign up to my mailing list if you want to find out when and where the show will happen.

Oh!  One final question.  The show will feature 7-9 cat songs.  What are you absolute favorite songs (see cat lyrics for song titles) from my albums?  Which would you like to hear in this show?

I might be convinced though.  However, it would have to be another group effort.  I don’t have lyrics.  I want original lyrics written by you.  No music is necessary though if you have a parody, that’s fine.  Write it.  Post it here.  Share this blog with other cat lovers.

The album would be about Celts, cats and Christmas.  Pretty simple, huh?

Maybe this is could turn into an album in the future.

That’s Tiziano and Torre for the uninitiated.  I got these two sweet kitties of mine at the end of 2002.  I had to guestimate their birthday.  I picked September 15th.

If I really thought about it, I should’ve picked Bilbo Baggins’ birthday (Sept 22nd) or even Talk Like a Pirate Day (Sept 19th).  They’re kinda pirate-like at times… Though I don’t think that holiday was invented then.

Nevertheless, my wee boys turn NINE today.  I think that makes them officially old.  Though that seems strange since they’re gonna live at least another nine or thirty years…

Ah well.  Happy birthday boys!

When I started the Cat Music Blog in 2005, it was a supplementary site to my Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers webpage. This was the cat news site as well as the home to Cat Lovers Podcast.  My goal was to promote the podcast and of course capture some search engine traffic for cat music fans.  That’s it.  Everything else would go to the webpage designed to sell Cat CDs.

I love the old website, but I haven’t released a new cat CD in a couple years.  I needed something a bit more dynamic to promote my cat songs.  That’s why I took the time to redesign this site.

I have some FAQ about my music, a place where you can buy CDs, the feed for the Cat Lovers Podcast, and now a cat lyrics page to quickly and easily direct you to all my cat song lyrics from each album I release.

I will continue to post videos and cat news, and keep an eye open for a brand new podcast.  Yes, I hope to release 2-4 new shows each year.  But who knows.  Maybe I’ll talk to Tracey Tracy and we will dive head first into a whole new world of Cat music, cat news, and cat fun. Because that’s what Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers is all about.
